FLEXA products are made from a solid, hard wood called Nordic Pine which is grown in FLEXA's own European forests situated north of the 60th parallel. Here, where it's cold, the trees grow slowly. This gives the wood a strong fiber structure and greater mass than other types of pine. The wood is carefully selected and send it to FLEXA's own sawmills for cutting, drying, planing and rounding. It is then treated with a UV lacquer that contains no formaldehyde or toxic colorants. This lacquer is very hard-wearing and makes the furniture elegant, robust, timeless and save for the kids that use it. At every stage of the process, the material is subject to comprehensive quality controls so you can be sure that the finished products you buy are made of first-class wood. To highlight our dedication to quality, we provide a five-year guarantee against manufacturing defects on all products (textiles naturally do not carry this guarantee). All FLEXA Textiles are made of 100% natural materials which means they are hypo-allergenic and free of any harmful chemicals. All textiles are certified in accordance with the International Oeko-Tex Safety Standard.
